About

A Tale of Three Famished Friends

Our friendship sparked in the lovely little city of Dublin. Over the course of three years, we grew, our friendship grew and our appetite grew. Alas, there came a time when we had to part ways and open our mouths to a wider world of discovery. Although our geographical locations differ, our daily routines change and the paths we follow vary we all share a passion for food which unites us no matter where we are in the world. The idea for this collective was conceived whilst we were nestled together on a cosy couch eating a hearty meal and flicking through a book called "1001 Foods: You Must Try Before You Die". We realised this would  be the last time we would all be in each others company for the foreseeable future -A Last Supper, if you will. We sought comfort in the knowledge that no matter how deep our roots grow, our amiable ties spread and our hungry hooves wander, we are always only A Mouthful Apart.

Our manifesto is simple:

1) If you are broke you should at least be full.
2) Life isn't complete without indulgence
3) Not all food has to be healthy, because butter.

What we do and how we do.

The first thing you should know about us is: we love traveling and we love food but we are by no means professionals in either. We strive to gain experience by gaining weight. We throw ourselves into everything we do and believe that food is at the heart of every culture so we are going to be exploring our new journies through our tummy-tum-tums. We are planning to try new cuisines, find hidden gastronomic gems and use food to comfort us in our inevitable bouts of homesickness.

In order to achieve all of that we are going to do things this way:

1) one monthly theme
2) four monthly posts
3) each week, one of us takes the stage to showcase our ever improving blogging abilities
4) one week per month is challenge week - the culinary quest based on the aforementioned monthly theme. Example: Find the friendliest dining experience in your city or find the most deformed fruit or vegetable and base a recipe around it.

Here we go!
